Car Stopped On M6 For Having A Stoned Passenger In A Deck Chair In The Back

A man has been stopped by Lancashire Police on the M6 near Preston for “Light defects”, but later found numerous other breaches of the law.

Officers were astonished yesterday (19th June) when they stopped the car and noticed a man sat in a deck chair appearing to be stoned.

The driver straight away admitted to having no licence or insurance when stopped.

Within the vehicle, Lancashire Police found two passengers in possession of cannabis, with one even being carried on a deck chair.

Once the car was stopped on the M6, the vehicle had been taken without the owner’s consent, and the driver was found to have no insurance, as well as testing positive for cannabis.
