Five Guys have officially opened their first restaurant in Preston today.
The American burger chain has opened their restaurant on Deepdale Retail Park – The first in Lancashire.
After month of speculation and rumours circulating through social media, Five Guys submitted a planning application to Preston City Council in May to alter some of the building that formerly housed Frankie & Bennys.
Earlier this year, Preston Hub reported that Five Guys were seeking managers through their online job portal, and are now even closer to opening with a new door and shop front signage going up soon.
Launched in 1986 in Arlington in Virginia, USA, Five Guys is named after the five sons of Jerry and Janie Murrell, who offered their children a choice of college or starting a business. The five sons opted for the latter, and the chain now has over 100 restaurants in the UK.
