Penwortham Puppy Beaten By Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Animal Cruelty

A Penwortham man has been arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty following an incident in the Leyland Lane area of the town.

South Ribble Police have since confirmed that they received multiple reports of a puppy being beaten by a man, who has since been arrested.

The injured puppy has been taken by South Ribble Police to receive veterinary care.

The incident happened on Friday 4th August between 8-8.30pm.

A spokesperson for police said: “We appreciate this is a very sensitive subject and we’re now appealing for any CCTV of this incident.”
