Merseyside Women of the Year Awards Celebrates 15 Years – Nominations Now Open!

The Merseyside Women of the Year (MWOTY) Awards is back for 2025, celebrating 15 years as a women-led event under the direction of Ellie Kerr. Now, the search is on to find and honour the incredible women making a difference across the region.

With past winners and finalists from Southport making their mark, including Jo Henney, CEO of Nugent, and Serena Silcock-Prince, Head of Operations at Silcock Leisure Group, this is a fantastic opportunity to shine a spotlight on local women who deserve recognition.

A Milestone Year for MWOTY

This year, MWOTY isn’t just celebrating an anniversary – it’s expanding its platform. A new podcast, ‘The Crispy Ear’, and a business conference will bring together inspiring voices from the MWOTY network. These initiatives aim to empower more women by providing access to essential resources, mentorship, and opportunities.

Ellie Kerr, MWOTY’s founding director, said:

“We’ve seen how MWOTY is more than just an awards ceremony – it’s a movement. Our alumni are making real impacts across the region, and we want to keep growing that influence.”

Why You Should Nominate

MWOTY celebrates women in all walks of life – from business leaders and entrepreneurs to activists and community champions. If you know someone in Southport who deserves recognition, now is the time to nominate them.

The overall Merseyside Woman of the Year 2025 will be chosen through a public vote (50%) and a judging panel (50%), with the winner announced at a prestigious awards ceremony on Friday, 27th June 2025 at the Crowne Plaza, Liverpool City Centre.
